Bhagat Sadhna
Bhagat Sadhna is the butcher-saint of Sindh — a butcher of Sehwan by trade whose single hymn in the Guru Granth Sahib teaches that God is won by truthful dealing, not by caste or ritual.
Life
Traditions make him a Muslim butcher? — a meat-seller of Sehwan (the Sufi town of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar), his devotional life lived in a trade other traditions considered low. His hymn — “the Lord is the marketplace; truth the coin” — reads commerce as yoga.
Teachings/Works
The one shabad’s doctrine — honest trade as worship, the heart as the shop of the Name — carries his whole biography.
Legacy
Sikhs recite him among the bhagats; Sindh’s sant memory (shared across Hindu and Muslim communities of the region) claims him.
