    Vyana Mudra

Vyana Mudra is a hand gesture (mudra) that regulates the pervading vital energy.

    Overview

Vyana Mudra, meaning “pervading seal,” is formed by joining the tips of the index finger and middle finger with the tip of the thumb. It activates vyana vayu, the prana that pervades the entire body and governs circulation and movement.

    Method/Content

The index finger and middle finger are folded to touch the tip of the thumb. The ring finger and little finger remain extended. The hands rest on the knees with palms facing upward. The mudra is held for 20 to 30 minutes during meditation. It can also be practiced during walking or light physical activity.

    Purpose/Benefits

Vyana Mudra is said to improve blood circulation and regulate the flow of prana throughout the body. It is beneficial for those experiencing fatigue, weakness, or circulatory issues. The practice also enhances coordination between the body and mind.
