Manipura Chakra Dhyana (Solar Plexus Chakra Meditation)

Manipura Chakra Dhyanary/chakra) Dhyana is a meditation practice focused on the manipura (solar plexus) chakra.

    Overview

Manipura, meaning “lustrous gem,” is the third primary chakra located at the navel center or solar plexus. It is associated with personal power, willpower, transformation, and the fire element. This chakra governs the digestive system, pancreas, and adrenal glands and is considered the center of vitality and personal energy.

    Method/Content

The practitioner sits in a meditative posture with the spine erect and eyes closed. The attention is directed to the navel center, visualizing a ten-petaled lotus in bright yellow or golden light. The bija mantra “RAM” is mentally chanted while focusing on the fire element in the solar plexus. The practice involves cultivating a sense of inner strength, confidence, and determination while allowing any feelings of powerlessness or insecurity to release.

    Purpose/Benefits

Manipura Chakra meditation strengthens personal willpower, enhances self-confidence, and improves digestive function. It is believed to boost metabolism, increase energy levels, and transform negative emotions like fear and anger into courage and assertiveness. Regular practice is said to develop a strong sense of self, improve decision-making ability, and enhance personal effectiveness.
