    Firefly Pose (Tittibhasana Practice)

Firefly Pose is an arm balance where the legs extend outward from the arms.

    Overview

Firefly Pose, known as Tittibhasana in Sanskrit, is an arm balance where the body is supported on the hands while the legs extend straight out to the sides. It combines arm balance strength with hip and hamstring flexibility.

    Method/Content

From a standing forward fold, the hands are placed on the floor between the feet. The upper arms slide behind the thighs, and the body weight shifts onto the hands. The legs extend outward to the sides while maintaining balance on the palms. The gaze is forward, and the core engages to hold the position.

    Purpose/Benefits

Firefly Pose strengthens the arms and core while stretching the inner groin and hamstrings. It develops balance, concentration, and upper body strength. The pose builds determination and focus.
